The main advantage of LC duplex uniboot patchcord is outer diameter of used cable. Two fibers for bi-directional connectivity are placed only in one jacket, which has outer diameter of a standard simplex patchcord - 3,0mm. This solution reduces the space usage by 50% compared with the traditional zip-cord patchcords. Half of the space in racks, cabinets or patch panels is now freed up for more cable connections or simply better organization.
